Jack Boccarossa was born and raised in the Illinois Quad Cities.  He graduated with the class of 1964 from Rock Island High School.  In 1968 he received a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Master’s degree in Professional Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.


Jack and his wife, Noreen  have been married for 44 years and have a son and daughter and two grandsons.


From 1969 to 1976, he served in the Army Reserves, obtaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. From 1991 until 1995, he served on the Sherrard School Board.


In January of 2011, after forty-two years of Government service, Jack retired from the Rock Island Arsenal. While on the Island he worked for the Small Business Administration in the Liaison office for 25 years and 17 years as an Army Civilian. He has a small arms patent and has written a publication on small arms. He has owned and operated Jack Frost Pines Christmas tree farm in Milan, IL for 37 years.  In 2009 he joined the Board of Directors of the RIA Federal Credit Union and serves as a volunteer, on the Legislative Liaison and Policy and Regulations as committee head.  


At Trinity Anglican Church in Rock Island, he has served as a Senior and Junior warden and continues to be a member for nearly 60 years.


Jack is an advocate for Midwestern family values and protection of civil rights.  He believes in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and in private property rights.

Political Philosophy

My general positions are as follows:  I am a social and fiscal conservative. I believe in the second amendment. I believe children should have the right to grow up free of burdensome national debt. I believe in a strong defense.  

I will communicate with and listen to the people of the 17th congressional district.  

I will target regulations and taxes that hurt small business. 

I will fight to bring Fiscal Responsibility back.

Jack Boccarossa is strongly pro-life, is for limited government, term limits, a balanced budget, debt reduction, a strong national defense and the repeal of Obama Care.  

What sets Mr. Boccarossa apart from other legislators is his commitment to defend, protect, and preserve the Rock Island Arsenal Complex.  Jack will bring arsenal jobs to the 17th district including plans for the closed Savanna Army Depot.
