Judge Weber has Over 25 years of Legal Experience

Jo Beth was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, where she lives with her husband, Scott, who she has been married to for over 32 years. Jo Beth and Scott have two adult children. After graduating from Mt. Vernon Township High School, Jo Beth attended the University of Illinois, where she received both her bachelor’s and law degrees. 

 

Judge Weber has Over 25 years of Legal Experience

 

  Currently a Circuit Judge in the Second Judicial Circuit (Jefferson County)

  20 years of Appellate Court experience (legal adviser for Appellate Court Judges and handled and/or supervised appeals to every Illinois Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court)

  Attorney for Southern Illinois University as a Litigation Manager and Contract Negotiator

  Experience in private practice and the Jefferson County State’s Attorney’s Office 

  Taught Ethics classes to judges at the 2016 Judicial Education Conference 

  Rated Highly Qualified by the Illinois State Bar Association

  Rated highly Recommended in a nonpartisan Illinois State Bar Association survey of attorneys
