My Top 3 Priorities

  • Protect landowner Property Rights - County Board District one is heavily sought after for many projects without regard to the landowners property rights and fair treatment and commpensation.
  • Impress the fact that residents cannot tolerate higher tax rates – we have to hold the line on increased compensation of elected officials & realize the County cannot be pay for State's liability due to lack of a budget
  • Get the attention of Governor Rauner to end land acquisition of the proposed Peotone Airport. This project has been a tax boondoggle since its inception & someone needs to realize the negative impact it has on eastern Will County and taxpayers.

Political Beliefs

Political Philosophy

It is my belief that an elected official should be honest and have integrity that their constituents can rely on.  An elected official is someone who must remember who put them into office and why they are there at all times - if you do this, you will remain true to who you are and what you believe in.  While it is nearly impossible to make everyone happy, it is totally impossible to work with everyone involved to make sure everyone's voice has been heard.

I believe that America's Constitution and Bill of Rights are two of the most important documents in history. They were written by men who lived in a country where their rights were denied and they were overtaxed and overruled.  So when they came to America they knew what was important and they penned that into both those documents.

I believe the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person's dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored. I believe that free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth, and propserity.  I believe that a government should have policies in place to enhance these!

I do not think an elected official should be funded specifically by an organization, but funded by campaign contributions of the residents they represent.  When that happens an elected official is the beholden to those residents and not a special interest group.

I know that beling an elected official is not an easy job.  It takes time away from family, friends, and your own career - BUT - I believe that good people with good values and a strong sense of who they are must step up to lead, if not, others will and our rights will be impaired.
