I have an extensive resume in the criminal justice community. When it comes to court systems and operations I have one of the most extensive resumes in Will County. No other candidate has my ideas, my experience or my education.
I am a veteran. My opponent is not. I am a college graduate my opponent is not. I have private sector experience my opponent does not. I am not a politician.
I am married and have 2 daughters and my grandson wants to be a Metra train engineer.
For the past 18 years my job has been improving court and justice community operations and functions. My hobby is reading about improving court and justice community operations and functions, it is what I do. I have been on exploratory visits to courts throughout the United States, Illinois and federal court. My mission has been to examine how these courts use technology to improve the functions and operation of their respective justice communities. Will County needs someone with a vision to usher in the 21st century. Will County cannot afford to remain in the dark ages.
I have a bachelor degree in Computer science. After 3 years in the army and lousy job opportunities I went to school at night for 6 years.
I worked in the private sector at organizations like Blue Cross & Blue Shield and Illinois Hospital Association. Starting in 1997 I worked for 15 years modernizing and advancing the Will County Circuit Clerks office.
I am currently managing a 10 million dollar multi-year project for a neighboring county that incorporates computer systems from the Circuit Clerk, States Attorney, Public Defender and Judiciary.
I am giving the citizens a choice in the March 15 primary to choose substance and experience over local, behind the scenes politics, commonly known as the status quo.
I was instrumental in securing a $300,000 grant for Will County in 2009. The money was used for the Public Defender, Probation, Sheriff and Circuit Clerk offices. Under my leadership, the following systems were implemented; electronic orders of protection, electronic warrants, a Public Defender System, drug test result system, and electronic traffic citations to name a few. I will continuously look for grant opportunities that will benefit the entire justice community. In Will County, I have authored Request for Qualifications, Request for Information and Request for Proposals. I have worked with the States Attorney, Public Defender, Probation Department, County Board, and Judiciary in Will County. I have worked extensively with every law enforcement agency and every justice agency in Will County.
I have worked with every large county in Northern Illinois on joint projects and collaborations. I coordinated and presented to members of the Illinois Supreme Court a demonstration surrounding the use of electronic signatures. I have been on exploratory visits to courts throughout the United States. Here in Chicago, I have done research at the federal courts on issues such as paperless courts and evidence presentation systems. Will County needs someone with the education, experience and a proven track record of working with county board members and county justice partners on local issues, and who can work with state officials on state wide issues that affect the courts and Circuit Clerk operations.
